Going to St. John!

Vanessa and I are heading to the Caribbean island of St. John today to shoot Tracy & JW`s wedding on Tuesday. We will be back on Friday to shoot Katie & Stephen`s wedding on Saturday!

I have so many great images to blog! I will be back to biz on Monday. I have my trusty blackberry if you need to email me. :)

Engaged: JW & Tracy

Let me count the reasons I am so excited to get to shoot Tracy & JW's wedding...
*She's a fellow wedding photographer who picked me to shoot her wedding!
*They are super fun and totally in love!!
*They are getting married in the Caribbean next week!!!

We got together last week for their engagement session and though I had shot them before it was great to get reacquainted and hang a little bit before their big day. She saw the photos I shot of Matt & Meghan at the old train yard so we headed there for a little while and then moved on to downtown FW.

Not Home Yet

UPDATE::::We're home.


This is the first time I've ever blogged from my Blackberry!

Unfortunately our new home was not ready for us Friday and we are now living in a cute little hotel until we can move in.

Home buying has definitely been an adventure and I can't wait to just be home again.

Bridal: Teressa

Teressa is so cute and she had all the right moves at her bridal session. I would start to give her some direction for me to shoot and before I could finish my sentence she would be doing her own model thing. She is beautiful and self confident and her wedding was beautiful!

Engaged: Matt & Meghan

These two get the award for the most bravery shown during an engagement session. I just knew it would be interesting when Meghan spotted a snake in a hole on our way to this old train yard!!! But it was such a great shooting spot! They are totally sweet on each other so capturing some of that was easy under any circumstance.

I am always thankful when couples let me get creative on them and go with whatever crazy idea pops in my head. Matt and Meghan are a perfect example of that. We coincidently stopped at the same Wendy's right after our shoot (which is not too strange since we are pretty much neighbors, until the end of this week... but that's another story!). When I pulled next to them and asked to let me do another shot they were totally into it. The resulting shot is below.

Engaged: Tahera & Shakeeb

I had been looking forward to this engagement session for a long time! We kept having to reschedule because of their busy schedules and then the weather not cooperating a couple of times. But it was totally worth the wait, Tahera and Shakeeb are both such sweet, warm people.

Tahera and I clicked right from the get go, I think our initial meeting lasted a couple of hours and most of it was just us chit chatting about a little of everything! The truth is that the more I get to know them the more I really feel blessed to be part of their wedding day. Or wedding days! They will be having a traditional Indian wedding, so I will get to document four events on three separate days for them. Vanessa and I are so ready!

Tahera, let's go get some cuatro leches cake sometime! ;)

Father's Day & My 200th Post!

Wayne is a great daddy AND he's the man of my dreams. I'm a lucky girl. :)

Bridal: Shelby

Lots of photos to share this week!

Vanessa and I shot Shelby & Kevin's wedding in Fort Worth this weekend so I can now share her bridal portraits. She is just gorgeous! This session was an easy afternoon, she brought so many great helpers.

Wedding: Melissa & Matt

Melissa was the very first bride to book me for 2008! It was great to finally get to shoot her wedding in her hometown of Stephenville. I love the story between Melissa and Matt, how they slowly fell in love and realized they wanted to share their lives together. During the reception, their DJ read the story of how they met, fell in love and hot Matt proposed. It was so cool because every one of their guests could relate to their story differently. It really brought everyone even closer in celebration for them.

Melissa & Matt, thank you for having us. We loved every minute!
