Happy Holidays!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas surrounded by those you love. May the new year be full of happiness and new adventures for us all!

I will be out of the studio until Wednesday but will have access to email.

Love, Cristina

Portraits: Tracy & JW

I was so flattered when my friend Tracy asked me to photograph her and her sweetie, JW. They had never had any professional photos taken and since she is a wedding photographer herself, I was totally excited at the opportunity!

We met last week when it was cold and muddy at this awesome field in Fort Worth. They were such great models!

Wedding: Neil & Julia

Ceremony: Saint Ann Parish
Reception: Las Colinas Country Club
Flowers & Decor: A Stylish Soiree

Efra and I had the fun pleasure to photograph Neil & Julia's wedding. They live about 4 hours away, so Julia's mom, Pam, planned pretty much all the details of their day. It was awesome! From her gown, to the cake, to the Chucks... it was a beautiful wedding.

Vanessa Graduated Today

I am so proud of my sister!

Here is a quick family photo - without the spouses - just the 'original 5' as my dad calls us...

And here is a pic of Abby & my hubby showing some support!

Vanessa's Birthday is Today!

As MANY of you know, Vanessa is one of my second shooters. She is also my sister and friend. She is a great aunt to my Abby. She is graduating from UTA on Monday. She is an all around cool chick and I am so proud of her.

Today she is 25!!! Love you Sisi!

Engaged: Mel & Matt

Hi Mel! (I totally know you are reading this!) :) Mel & Matt met me in downtwon Fort Worth for their engagement session. Because we all love it there, we all had spots we wanted to shoot at. It was great, I found a couple of very cool sights I would like to shoot at again. We then went to the Stockyards for some more fun.

I love that they are really open to new ideas and were totally laid back, they just really trusted my vision and that is so important. I am really looking forward to Mel's bridal session in the next couple of months, ideas are flowing...

Wedding: John & Kelly

Ceremony & Reception: Dallas Arboretum

When Kelly and I got together for her bridals I knew her and John were going to be so great to work with. Though I shoot at the Arboretum quite a bit, I had never shot a wedding there. It was fabulous! Didn't hurt that the weather was perfect and their family and friends were so cool. They were up for anything!

Kelly's dress was handmade by her mom and I could not believe it. I wish I had that talent, to pick pieces of fabric and make them into a beautiful gown. Not only was it beautiful, it was truly special.

John's grooms cake was awesome! He is way into music so his cake looked like a sound mixer! So cool!

Here are the pics!

This is a cake ya'll!

Engaged: Stephen & Katie

Soooo romantic! Stephen proposed to Katie in Venice, so for their engagement photos we decided to go to the Mandalay Canal and then to the Mustangs sculptures (where their wedding reception will be held this summer) and then we went to this overlook with a great view of the Dallas skyline. Vanessa came along for this session, and I loved having her.

We got lots of cool shots, here are some of my favorites:

Awwww!

I got this from one of my favorite photographer's blog, Anne Ruthmann.

It's also one of my favorite shows! So sweet!

Wedding: Rene' & Chris

Ceremony: Marty Leonard Chapel
Reception: The Worthington Hotel

I got to hang with Rene' from about 20 minutes after she woke up the morning of her wedding to almost to the end of the wedding reception. I was exhausted, but I was totally excited because I just knew we got some great shots!

The flowers were amazing (I wish I could remember the name of her florist!), they had a great band play at their reception and their ballroom was beautiful. But my favorite part of the whole day was when Chris and Rene' were declared man and wife and were just about to kiss, Chris stopped and whispered something to Renee, none of us heard what he said, but I am getting goosebumps just thinking about it. It was so romantic! Vanessa and I just looked at each other and had a moment ourselves! It was beautiful.

There are so many favorites, we are having a tough time narrowing them down for the album!

I love this shot!
Chris gets ready
Rene' has a moment before it all starts
The aforementioned 'right before the kiss' moment
Cool detail shot by Efra
Chris' dad serenaded them for their first dance

Engaged: Tricia & Robert

Robert is totally one of my favorite grooms for 08. He is hilarious and you can just tell he loves Tricia so much, he is always trying to get her to laugh.

We hung out in downtown Fort Worth and then on to the Stockyards for their engagement session. I love shooting these because it really gives me a chance to get to know my couples and for them to get to know me a little better. Thus helping them to feel comfortable in front of my camera. It's a win-win, you see!

On to what you came to see! (I hope!)

Engaged: Tobi & Justin

Such sweet chemistry between these two. We laughed our way through downtown Grapevine and before we knew it the sun started to set. Cool story: Justin travels a lot for work and on one of his connecting flights he decided not to get off the plane. Well, some lady sits next to him and talks his ear off. At first he tries to ignore her and then he realizes it's Diane Keaton!!! Ha! I love her... Well, I love her films, I don't know her personally (like Justin and all) but I like most of her films! :)

Tobi and Justin will be having their ceremony and reception at the Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth in March - Can't wait!
