Steve & Marilyn

Marilyn and Steve had a beautiful, tradition-filled wedding with their ceremony at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church and their reception at Dallas' Old Red Courthouse.

AWESOME wedding coordinator Becca from
A Stylish Soiree helped Marilyn pull in details from her African heritage into the reception. Marilyn actually changed gowns three times during the evening, and she looked stunning in each one!

On to the photos!

She's So Cute!

My sweet Abby has suddenly gone from a toddler to a little tiny person! She is in this parakeet stage where she repeats everything she hears, which is cute until she heard me go 'crap!' when I dropped a can the other day and now that's her favorite word... I guess it could have been worse! She's just so amazing and I am so lucky to get to hang with her and watch her learn and become the sweet little girl her daddy and I love. She's just the best thing in the world.

That is all.

Fernando & Jenny

Fernando and Jenny wed a few weeks ago in Fort Worth and had their reception at the YWCA historic building, it's really a beautiful landmark. Jenny is one of those uber-photogenic people and she is such a sweet person! You could just see the pride in Fernando to have Jenny in his life. They had a beautiful day, lots of family and friends, everyone could feel the love everywhere.

Photography was very important to them, so they allowed plenty of time before the ceremony and gave us about 20 minutes during the reception for romantics.

Jenny & Fernando: You guys are truly very special to us. Thank you for having Vanessa and I document your wedding day, it was an honor to be there.

Ok, here are my favorites! Jenny is still working on hers! :)

Emily & Aaron

When Emily hired me over a year ago I was totally excited because it really sounded like this was just going to be a big party celebrating Emily and Aaron finally getting married! They are both so cute! They held their ceremony and reception at Fossil Creek Golf Club, which is about 3 miles from us!

They made sure to include Emily's (and now Aaron's) children in many aspects of their wedding. They not only served as best man and maid of honor, but they also did a sand unity vase that was so neat! I thought that was a great way to symbolize all of them coming together into a new family.

Here are some of my favorites (but it was very hard to chose!).

To My Two Favorite Dads...

I have two very special dads in my life, my own and my dear husband. So this is to remind them both of how much we love them and how important they are in our lives!

Here are two photos of my Dad and I (taken by my mom a looong time ago) and one of my hubby and our daughter (taken by me a couple of months ago).

Morgan & Matt

Morgan and Matt had an afternoon ceremony at reception Dallas' Crescent Hotel, I was so excited to get to shoot at such a beautiful venue. They had perfect weather, awesome natural light, lots of family and friends - it was a great afternoon for all of us!

Vanessa and I got some great shots - here are my favorites!

Paul & Allison

These two are so cute together. Allison made sure that every detail of their wedding reflected their personalities, their history together and their bond with their families.

Their reception was at the Fort Worth Stockyards' Stampede ballroom. I was absolutely bombed that I was bed bound sick on their wedding weekend, so my fabulous sister/second shooter Vanessa, my cool talented friend Julie and her hubby Alberto shot Allison & Paul's wedding for me. They did an incredible job!

I am so very thankful to them and we all love the photos!

Here are my faves...

Christi & Michael Engagement

Christi is one of those people that just can't stop smiling - I LOVE IT! Her and Michael have this great chemistry, they are a great fit. They met me at the Kimbell Museum where they actually got engaged, so not only is it a special location for them, but it is also one of my favorite locations to shoot.

They are having an outside ceremony at Lake Grapevine's Paradise Cove in a couple of months!

On to the photos!

Joyce & Cris Engagement

I have to tell you, Cris had me cracking up the entire time we were shooting! He is so funny! Him and his awesome fiancée Joyce met me a couple of weeks ago and truly chatted our way through some great photos. They will be getting married in August and their reception will be in the same ballroom where MY wedding reception was! :)

Here are some of my faves!

Baby Connor

A couple of weeks ago I got to do a baby session with Connor and his parents, Leslie and Shawn. Soooo cute! He was so alert and active, he totally knew he was having his photo taken!

Thank you to Leslie and Shawn for letting me into their home and capture some of Connor's MANY expressions.

Christian & Rudy Engagement

I can't believe Christian and Rudy are getting married this Friday! They are both very special to me, Christian has been a friend forever and Rudy is just a great, they are such a great fit. They are both creative, just very artistic people and I love that they chose me to document their wedding day. It is truly and honor because I know how picky Rudy is (hi Rudy!).

We went to the Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth for their engagement session and man, that is becoming one of my favorite shooting spots! Every time I shoot there I discover a different spot, a different angle.

I love the photos! Here are the faves!

Jeanne & Bill Engagement

So sweet! He was giving me a toothache with all the cute comments!

Bill and Jeanne will be getting married in July and she just moved to the Dallas area from San Antonio so we were finally able to meet up and do their engagement session. We went to the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth and had it all to ourselves! Yeah! I couldn't believe it either!

Here are some of my favorites!

Who Are You? ::::: POLL

I have often wondered - who reads my blog? I hear from brides, MOBs, friends and potential clients that they check my blog and some even leave comments (which I love!). That got me thinking - Who are you?!

So please take a moment and let me know! :)
