Engaged: Melissa & Jim

Yes, I love shooting engagement sessions! They are just so fun and relaxed. I really get the chance to know the couple, their chemistry, what makes them laugh, how much they have in common... And it gives them a chance to see that having their pic taken can actually be fun!

Melissa & Jim met me at the studio last week and we walked around finding some cool walls. I love shooting around there. I always seem to find walls I've never shot at before! We then went to the Dallas Flight Museum which was pretty cool! I got some of my favorite shots there.

They will be getting married in April and I'm excited to shoot them again!

They're both scientists... heh heh!

Dallas Bridal Show

My Baby Sister is ENGAGED!!!

Vanessa and her loooong time boyfriend, Efrain got engaged last night! We are so excited for them! Many of you know Efra as he is my second shooter and friend. Him and Vanessa are high school sweethearts, and after more than 8 years together he is really a part of our family.

A destination wedding is in the horizon and I am so happy for my sister. Here is a few quick pics from my camera phone. I promise to take better ones this weekend!

Wedding: Jarrod & Cassandra

I had been looking forward to this wedding since last February when Cassandra walked into my studio and we proceeded to chat for the next three hours about... well, about everything and anything really! I just knew it was going to be fa-bu-lous! Her colors, the flowers, the feathers, everything was just amazing. AND if having beautiful details was not exciting enough, it was so sweet to see her and Jarrod on the dance floor - it was like there was no one else in the room.

Rachel, Efra, Peri :) and I had a great time! Thank you so much for having us! It was an honor!

Cassandra & Jarrod saw each other before the ceremony so we would have plenty of time for Romantics...

Her mom walked her down the aisle and was just beaming with pride.

Cassandra has a great singing voice! Her and the girls did awesome!

I Have a Cute Kid

Engaged: Jenn & Dean

It totally felt like hanging out with old friends because Jenn and Dean are both such sweet, genuine people. We actually hadn't met before the shoot but after shooting all around the studio and getting to know them and their wedding plans I am truly excited to be part of their wedding in Waco this May!

I, of course, love shooting engaged sessions and loved how warm and affectionate they are with each other. So many favorites!
