Jess + Jeff

Jessica and Jeff (the new Mr. and Mrs. Brown) had an intimate ceremony at the Avanti Fountain Place followed by a reception at the Avanti Ristorante. Jess couldn't stop smiling and she's got these amazing eyes. After a windy (ok, very windy) start, the wind quieted down for the outside ceremony, at least it seemed to!

Vanessa and I got some great shots - so it was a good day for all of us! :)

Alex & Scott

Last week I received a call from fellow photographer Amy Wilkerson, whose work I really respect. Amy sounded pretty sick and needed a fellow photographer to cover a wedding for her. At first I was totally flattered and I realized something huge: I am so lucky to know so many talented, respected and all around awesome photographers in Dallas/Fort Worth and beyond. We have formed this support system and it is great that we can rely on each other when we need to, be it for advice, tips or covering for each other. Without hesitation I moved some things around my schedule and I joined her talented assistant, Sarah Seeley at Alex & Scott's B-E-AUTIFUL wedding!

Alexandria & Scott's ceremony and reception were held at Richardson's Swan Court. Ok, seriously, this location is such a hidden little treasure. With a creek that leads to a waterfall, big trees and reception ballroom with huge windows, it is a photographers' dream. They couldn't have asked for better weather, and the crowd was ready to party!

Here are a few shots! Alex & Scott are so into each other. Their first dance gave me little goosebumps! (Yeah, I know - I'm such a girl sometimes!).

Kendall & Samanda's Wedding

I knew it was going to be beautiful.

Something about Samanda and Kendall the first time we met I just knew their wedding was going to be a fabulous affair. They enlisted the help of wedding coordinator Katoiya Bell, who did such a wonderful job at making this 400-guest wedding one of the smoothest weddings ever!

The ceremony was at the historic Kessler Park United Methodist Church in Dallas. It was standing room only! The reception was at one of my current favorite places in Downtown Dallas, the Old Red Courthouse. I will be shooting there a couple more times this year - sweet! :)

Hattitude!

These ladies have style! I am having the best time photographing events for this great organization for the month of March. I can not believe we are almost done. Hattitude is an organization dedicated to the empowering of women everywhere, from all walks of life. March is Women's Month so they have highlighted women who have made a difference in the lives of others by having the theme be "...a mile in her shoes".

It has been such an honor, and it has actually given me a sense of dignity to be a woman business owner in the City of Fort Worth. After shooting for them everywhere from the City Library, to the Botanical Gardens, the the Girls Inc events, to the Chamber of Commerce, I am walking away with great pride for the women in our city.

As you can imagine, after shooting 10 events for the organization I have gotten TONS of great images! Here are a few highlights from the events.

Jannie's Baby Shower

Last month I got to photograph Jannie's baby shower in Frisco. Now, I don't usually shoot events like these, but Jannie and I used to work together back in my other life in corporate America. When one of her good friends and old co-worker of mine asked me to come shoot some fun memories for her I couldn't say no! She is having her first child, a son, this April. It turned out to be a a great afternoon for all of us

Here are a few of the favorite shots.

Neha & Todd

Vanessa and I got to photograph our very first Indian wedding - and it was beautiful. Words can not describe the emotions, the colors, the anticipation, the traditions. Hopefully our photos help to tell that story. The most emotional part for us was when her father had to give her away at the end of the evening. I seriously don't think there was a dry eye around!

The ceremony and reception were both held at the elegant Renaissance Worthington Hotel Fort Worth. Here are some of my favorites.

Samanda's Bridal Portraits

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting Samanda's bridal portraits at the site of her wedding reception, Old Red Courthouse. I could not have had a better time. We had all the ingredients for an awesome session: beautiful bride, helpful friends (thank you Nikki & Terri!) and a fabulous location. We even had a brush with fame as the TV show "Prison Break" was filming right next door in the courthouse building!

Samanda & Kendall will be getting married next weekend and will be the second couple to celebrate at this beautiful site since its reopening. If you are looking for a fabulous location full of history and at the center of it all, you should really take a second look at Old Red Courthouse. I could not stop smiling as I walked through it. Can't wait for their wedding!

Check out her eyes! She is amazing. Click here to view the entire slideshow.
