Jenny

I really love doing bridal sessions. I am so lucky to have awesome brides that are up for anything!

Shooting Jenny was so easy. This girl was a model in another life! She had some fun helpers that kept her smiling, and that's always helpful. We went to the Arboretum and it must be that time of the year - we saw at least six other brides with photographers walking around. But it was a beautiful day, so we just took our time and strolled through the gardens stopping every once in a while for some shots.

Here are the faves!

Jamie

Jamie's mom, Tessa and her Granny joined us at the Fort Worth Kimbell Museum of Art and the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens for some shooting fun! Jamie is one of those impossibly gorgeous people, so my job was easy! Soooo excited I get to shoot her wedding in June. They will be having their reception at the Fort Worth Zoo!

Jamie's dress is beautiful and it was the first one she tried on! Just stunning!

Family Time

She is getting so big on us! This past Sunday we had a super fun family day - it was beautiful out so we just hung out in the backyard. She officially has the sweetest giggles in the world.

JoAnna & Rich

JoAnna & Rich will be getting married in Jamaica this July but wanted to get some fun couple shots before their big day to show at their family reception in Seattle in August! They have been together over 10 years and they are so lovey dovey, he kept calling her his pretty girl and kissing on her and she just let him! It was like I wasn't even there. Seriously, I kept having to ask them to stop so we could get to the next spot! (Ok, not really! I would never interrupt a lovey moment!)

Here are some of my favorites, but it was REALLY hard to choose.

Joey & Rich - Thank you so much for having me along on your romantic stroll through the Arboretum. I loved it!

Liz & Trent's Wedding

On an early Saturday morning at the lovely Timarron Country Club in Southlake, Liz and Trent exchanged bows in front of family and friends. Efrain (my other awesome assistant that is so very talented) and I were there to capture their day. It was such a beautiful day, we felt like we were in a cottage in the country, in this great room with huge windows surrounded by trees.

We wish Liz and Trent lots of happiness in their new lives together. They are kicking it off just right - they are currently in honeymooning in Hawaii!

A Stylish Soiree

Becca & Kerrie from A Stylish Soiree asked me to shoot the spread for their upcoming ad in D Weddings magazine. They put together these three beautiful bouquets and just let me have fun photographing them. They are so beautiful!!! I was so impressed with their work. Granted, I have worked with them before, so I already knew their work was awesome.

I don't mean for this to be a shameless plug for these gals, but seriously, if you are looking for a florist that will create something unique with a modern twist for your wedding party, you really need to check them out. I have a feeling they are about to get even more popular! They're stuff is so good!

I hope the photos do the bouquets justice!

Main St. Arts Festival this weekend!

As you all (or should I say ya'll?) know I live in Fort Worth - and I love this city. So why not remind everyone that keeps up with my blog (all five of you - and that includes my mom, two sisters and Jenn from RI {hi Jenn!!!!}) that the awesome Main St. Arts Festival is this coming weekend! Wayne and I go every year and it is always so much fun!

So come out and support the local artists! Except for you Jenn, you're the only that is not required to be there. ;)

Elinor & Matt Engagement

My good friend, Amy Herfurth from Daisy Productions, sent this awesome couple my way and they are soooo cute!

We got together at this great park with a waterfall because Matt wanted some sort of body of water in the shots since he's a marine biologist. It was during the mini ice storm we had last weekend so we were all pretty much freezing the whole time - but that just made them get all nice and cuddly which makes for really great cuddly shots! :) Fine by me!

They are getting married this summer and I can't wait!

Kristy & Grant Engagement

I met Kristy and Grant in Downtown Fort Worth a couple of Sundays ago. I am so glad I get to photograph their wedding in a couple of months, they are so laid back and fun! Kristy has these beautiful eyes! They were up to anything so I got to try some moves I have been thinking about and I love the photos!

Kristy & Grant - Thank you so much for hanging with me and letting me get some awesome shots! Can't wait until the wedding!

I have been accepted into one of the most exclusive international wedding photography organizations, the Wedding Photojournalist Association. I am honored to be part of the WPJA and just thrilled to have been accepted - Less than 5% of wedding photographers qualify for membership.

Words can not describe how thrilled I am! This is huge for me!

This is straight from the WPJA website:

Marilyn's Bridals

I have busy with bridal and engagement sessions this past couple of weeks, so I have been pretty busy with editing! I love it! It is actually one of my favorite parts of my job but also one of the most time consuming.

Marilyn, her mom Phoebe, and I met last week and had some laughs getting some great shots of Marilyn. Her wedding will be over Memorial Day weekend and her mom flew in from DC just for the shoot.

Here are some of my faves!

Ashley + Jonathan Engagement

Jonathan and Ashley are getting married in less than two weeks! I am really excited about their wedding - they are having an outside ceremony at Ray Roberts Lake. We met at this great park and just hung out for a little while. The ground was kind of mushy but they were quite the troopers and we got some great shots!

Here are a few of my favorites!
