Wedding: Rene' & Chris

Ceremony: Marty Leonard Chapel
Reception: The Worthington Hotel

I got to hang with Rene' from about 20 minutes after she woke up the morning of her wedding to almost to the end of the wedding reception. I was exhausted, but I was totally excited because I just knew we got some great shots!

The flowers were amazing (I wish I could remember the name of her florist!), they had a great band play at their reception and their ballroom was beautiful. But my favorite part of the whole day was when Chris and Rene' were declared man and wife and were just about to kiss, Chris stopped and whispered something to Renee, none of us heard what he said, but I am getting goosebumps just thinking about it. It was so romantic! Vanessa and I just looked at each other and had a moment ourselves! It was beautiful.

There are so many favorites, we are having a tough time narrowing them down for the album!

I love this shot!

Engaged: Tricia & Robert

Robert is totally one of my favorite grooms for 08. He is hilarious and you can just tell he loves Tricia so much, he is always trying to get her to laugh.

We hung out in downtown Fort Worth and then on to the Stockyards for their engagement session. I love shooting these because it really gives me a chance to get to know my couples and for them to get to know me a little better. Thus helping them to feel comfortable in front of my camera. It's a win-win, you see!

On to what you came to see! (I hope!)

Engaged: Tobi & Justin

Such sweet chemistry between these two. We laughed our way through downtown Grapevine and before we knew it the sun started to set. Cool story: Justin travels a lot for work and on one of his connecting flights he decided not to get off the plane. Well, some lady sits next to him and talks his ear off. At first he tries to ignore her and then he realizes it's Diane Keaton!!! Ha! I love her... Well, I love her films, I don't know her personally (like Justin and all) but I like most of her films! :)

Tobi and Justin will be having their ceremony and reception at the Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth in March - Can't wait!

Bridal: Jenna

I got to shoot Jenna's bridal portrait last month but she asked me not to share the photos until after her wedding. Well, she has been married for about a month and two days and I am just now sharing her pics!!! *sigh* Bad blogger. Bad, bad blogger.

The truth is that I loooove the photos and I was itching to share them because there were so many awesome ones! Jenna brought along her awesome, delightful, helpful family and we had a great time.

We went to the always beautiful Aldredge House in Dallas and had the run of the place! To all my fabulous brides that are thinking about doing a bridal session but are worried about getting your dress dirty: consider shooting at Aldredge or one of the awesome mansions available to rent in the area. Please let me know if you need some ideas! :)

Here are some of my favorites - very hard to choose!

Vacation: Part One

We are currently in England and we LOVE it here. What a great country. Everyone is so nice and I am pretty amazed at how well I can understand the English people. I was worried about the accent since I have to have the closed caption on whenever I watch anything British (Coupling anyone?). In the next few days we are going to all the must go places in the city and then we are off to Paris!

We are having fun but we miss our little tiny princess.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Cheerio!

Out of Office - Thanksgiving Week

As some of you may know, my hubby and I will be traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday. I will be out from Thursday, November 15 and will return Tuesday, November 27.

I will have VERY limited access to my email, but will try to check it as often as possible.

I hope everyone has a great holiday week!

Wedding: Jason & BJ

Ceremony & Reception: Royal Lane Baptist Church

BJ has to be one of my favorite brides this year. Her and Jason are such cool people, and they don't even know it! They are BIG Dallas Cowboys fans, and they were excited about their wedding weekend not only because of their wedding but because the Cowboys were playing the next day. :)

BJ is a wedding videographer so I was extremely flattered when they chose me to document their wedding. Check out her work: www.romanvideoproductions.com

We had a great time with their friends & family! Thank you for welcoming us!

Engaged: Brandon & Catherine

The weather has been so great, I have been busy shooting lots of engagement sessions which I LOVE! I have been all over the place! Lots of images coming to the blog this week! :)

Shooting these two was a breeze. Catherine is one of those people that can't stop smiling - which is fine by me! They have great chemistry and a great sense of humor. They will be getting married in May and their reception will be at one of my fave venues - Old Red Courthouse.

Catherine & Brando - thank you for being so fun to hang with! So looking forward to your wedding!

To All Potential Couples

2007 has been a fantastic year. I have been blessed with so many unique, wonderful couples that have inspired me to always give my best and to always have fun.

To allow more free time to do engagement & bridal sessions, meetings and just to get to know my couples even more, I have decided to only shoot 25 weddings in 2008.

Thanks to the referrals from many of my past couples, I only have 6 dates available for 2008. Therefore, I am planning a price increase in December. So to all of you that are thinking about meeting me and checking if we are a good match for your wedding photography, contact me soon!

Thank you for considering me! Can't wait to meet you! :)

Engaged: Mike & Carrie

Cute! Cute! Cute!

Carrie & Mark (and Kelsey, or course!) are just sweet, down-to-earth, lovely people. We got together at one of my favorite spots (downtown Fort Worth) to shoot their engagement session. We started our session with their gorgeous doggy, Kelsey and then went on to do some fun stuff all over the place!

I survived an attack my killer ants (seriously, they bit me all over my right foot, but when you have to get a shot from a certain angle you take risks!) and at the end of our super duper fun session (ha, ha, ha!) we got tickets on our cars!!! And we were sitting right there!!! Ok, we were gabbing and didn't notice but it was still not cool.

Totally love the shots!

Wedding: Rob & Robin

Ceremony & Reception: Trammell & Margaret Crow Asian Art Museum
Rob & Robin's engagement session was one of my favorites ever - they are my 'laundry room' couple!!! :) So when it came to their wedding I knew it was going to be not only beautiful, but fun and laid back. Vanessa and I had such a great time capturing their wedding day! They decided to see each other before the ceremony to make sure they could go straight to their reception after their ceremony. This meant we had about two hours to do all sort of fun stuff! Their wedding guests were just a blast and they danced the night away with Rob and Robin.

Robin, Rob, you know you guys are so special to me! I look forward to working with you guys again (wink, wink!)*.

*As in when they have babies and stuff! :)

A Photo I Took!!!

Wow! I am kind of speechless.

One of the images we shot at Ben & Jenn's St. Thomas wedding is being used by a company for their website! It is the only image on their main page:
www.blueskiesanddaisies.com

How cool is that?!

Engaged: Nyssa & Oscar

I was absolutely flattered when Nyssa and Oscar asked me to photograph their wedding, Nyssa is really into photography and she looked at a lot of photographers before deciding to go with us. Her and Oscar joined Vanessa and I down at the Las Colinas Canal for their engagement session. We had perfect weather so there were at least 5 other photographers there shooting engagement, family, what looked to be a music video... Nevertheless we got some awesome shots!

Here are a few!
