Me: Vacation!

Yeah! After shooting 15 weddings in the past three months (and countless sessions!) I am taking a little break and heading home to Puerto Rico. *insert big grin here*

I have been working nonstop for the last week trying to get everything out there (editing & designing like a mad woman!). I will return to the studio on Monday, August 11 but will be returning emails as often as possible as I will have my trusty Blackberry with me.

Please don't hesitate to email me if you need to get a hold of me!

I will try to post some fun photos while we`re there. Abby is reeeeeally excited.

Bridal: Elia

Vanessa and I shot Elia & Nick's aaaaamazing wedding tonight. Oh my gosh, it was beautiful. It was our second weekend in a row to shoot at The Adolphus and yeah, its beautiful.

Anyway! We shot her bridal session last month there and here are some favorites.

Wedding: Melissa & Brian

I am so happy that Melissa & Brian found me! They are one of the most easy going couples we have met, their day was so laid back and smooth. They were married at Denton's Wildwood Inn in a beautiful intimate ceremony. Efra and I loved the location, it's a beautiful mansion with an amazing backyard.

After the reception we got to do some fun stuff with a new light my good videographer friend Will let me borrow. I really love how those turned out!

Melissa & Brian - it was so great to have been there. Here is to your sweet love...

Sweet moment between Melissa and her mom.

Brian's mom on her way to hug them right after the ceremony. One of my favorites.
I think this shot was Brian's idea. I think.

So sweet! Brian is so tender with Melissa.

I am so in love with this shot!

Road Trip

So Vanessa, Abby, my dear cousin Patricia and I headed to San Antonio for a little bit of shooting and some unexpected (but much appreciated) R&R. It was awesome! I knew this week would be hectier (is that a word?) than usual since I will be going on vacation next week and I had several things to cross off my list before I leave Monday. It was just what the doctor ordered.

Here is a quick little video from my point and shoot. Good times!

Be warned: This video contains some serious squealing by a three year old. Enjoy.

Wedding: Brandon & Catherine

Ceremony: Perkins Chapel
Reception: Old Red Courthouse

One of the many reasons I love my job is because I get to meet and hang with two people who are in love during one of the most exciting and happy times in their lives. Documenting that love is such a huge honor for us. Brandon and Catherine's wedding was beautiful. They have an amazing group of family and friends that love them and made their day fun and relaxing for all of us.

Thank you for having Efra and I. We loved being there and love the photos! Catherine, so glad you liked your photos so much you had a really hard time narrowing them down for your album. :)

Catherine has a quiet moment before the ceremony begins.

One last look before heading down the aisle...

A different view of the ceremony. What groomsmen do when left alone with bridesmaid bouquets...

I love this departure shot for some reason.
I was glad to see Catherine chose it as one of her faves.

Bridal: Carrie

Carrie is one of those girls everyone loves. She is not only stunning, but she has a huge heart and has become a friend since last July (when she booked me!). We shot her bridals at the gorgeous Chandor Gardens, love it. I had actually shot a wedding out there before, and it was great having it all to ourselves. We had so much fun, and along with her friend Rachel (who I should totally hire to come with me on every bridal shoot) we got some great images.

Her and Mike are off to the Bahamas tomorrow! That sounds so good... :)

Engaged: Doug & Amy

I love it when at the end of an engagement session the groom-to-be says, 'that was easy, I actually had fun'. That makes me drive away with a smile on my face. Doug and Amy are some of the nicest people I've met, they are so sweet on each other! Their November wedding reception will be at the Dallas World Aquarium and I've wanted to shoot there for the longest time.

Thank you for hanging with me and letting me shoot you. ;)

I think this is my favorite shot from their session:

Yes, I do the mama shots! I actually really like this one!
