Samanda & Kendall

These two are just gorgeous people! I spent Sunday afternoon just getting to know them and photographing them along the way. I love the way they tell the story of how they met. Her story? He kept hanging around her office (where he had no reason to be at) until she noticed him. His story? He did have reason to be there, but seeing her didn't hurt either. This couple kept giving each other those glances I love, so it was a great day for me as well.

I get to photograph their wedding at the beautiful Old Red Courthouse. This historic site has been renovated and Samanda and Kendall will be one of the firsts to celebrate at the landmark. I am super excited to document their wedding day which will be in about 5 weeks! They have a great wedding coordinator helping them put their day together, Katoiya Bell.

Tidbits

Have your engagement session somewhere meaningful to you – at a lake, park, bowling alley, home, Downtown Dallas, the Stockyards…you get the idea! Engagement photos are about just the two of you, so choose a place that you both feel comfortable being yourselves! Engagement sessions are also a great way to get to know each other, you get to see how we work and we get to find out how you photograph best, what your chemistry is like. Most importantly on your wedding day we won't be strangers, and you will be comfortable in front of our cameras. It makes a big difference!

Use an engagement album as a guest book – Gel pens show up beautifully on the black pages.

Save the Date magnets are a great way to share your favorite engagement photos and let your guests know exactly when your wedding will happen. We have different designs to choose from, just let us know!

Have an intimate bridal boudoir portrait made the day you have your bridal hair and make-up trial. These can be ready in time for the honeymoon! Better yet, don't tell your fiancé you will be having these taken and surprise him on the day of your wedding! For his eyes only... ;)

Good times at the Bridal Show!

We participated in our first ever bridal show and we had so much fun. Vanessa, Sumetra (my dear client-turned-friend) and my hubby, Wayne, spent the day chatting with so many brides, couples, mothers, friends and anyone that would listen! Our booth was pretty simple, like us! We didn't want to overwhelm those that came by our little corner. We learned a lot and will be participating in another show in April.

Thanks to all of you that came by and said hey! We hope that everyone had fun and got a chance to see what we're like and what we're about!

ABBY = MAGIC

Recently I was asked how come I don't have any photos of my beautiful, sweet, magical daughter on my website and I really don't know how to answer that! The truth is that I have taken thousands of photos of my 23-month-old Abby. Some of them only my dear husband has ever seen, as I am always cautious not to become one of those parents that forces people to look at countless photos of their little ones. Not that I have anything against photos! ;) But when I can snap off 45 shots of her just watching Sesame Street on her little tiny bean bag, it can be a little much!

That said, here are some of my favorites shots of my little cookie. She's amazing, you know. She smiles and she cuddles and she gives me kisses and her Daddy and I just think she's MAGIC. A Blessing. Ok, must stop gushing and show some photos!

Lauren & Scott Get Married!

Where do I begin? I have been looking forward to this wedding for months! Lauren and Scott are just both sweet, down-to-earth, fun loving people. I had the chance to spend some time with them during their engagement session and we just clicked right away. Not to even mention Lauren's mom, Debi! Debi - you are the greatest! Lauren and Scott are off to do some skiing in Lake Tahoe, which sounds so good. I can not begin to thank them for their hospitality. Congratulations!

Star-Telegram Bridal Show

We will be participating in the upcoming Star-Telegram Bridal Show to be held on January 21st at the Fort Worth Convention Center. This will be our first bridal show ever, so please stop by and say hello if you plan on coming out!
