What Not To Wear: Bridal Gowns

You know that cool show "What Not To Wear"? They are now doing a show on bridal gowns! They are looking for brides who are looking to find their perfect gown and have a wedding date that falls between April 16 and May 19 of this year. I know most brides get their dress months and months before the wedding but if you have yet to find the perfect gown or you are having a short engagement you should totally apply!

My Sweet Abby is 2!

Can you believe it? Wayne and I sure can't. She's gone from this little tiny baby we would bundle and cuddle to a very talkative, caring, dancing, curious, beautiful 2-year-old that will only sit on our laps when she's tired or when she's shy. She had a wonderful birthday - we took her to the Dallas World Aquarium and just let her run around looking at all the animals. She loved it, she kept laughing out loud! Such a sweet sound! :)

Samanda & Kendall

These two are just gorgeous people! I spent Sunday afternoon just getting to know them and photographing them along the way. I love the way they tell the story of how they met. Her story? He kept hanging around her office (where he had no reason to be at) until she noticed him. His story? He did have reason to be there, but seeing her didn't hurt either. This couple kept giving each other those glances I love, so it was a great day for me as well.

I get to photograph their wedding at the beautiful Old Red Courthouse. This historic site has been renovated and Samanda and Kendall will be one of the firsts to celebrate at the landmark. I am super excited to document their wedding day which will be in about 5 weeks! They have a great wedding coordinator helping them put their day together, Katoiya Bell.

Tidbits

Have your engagement session somewhere meaningful to you – at a lake, park, bowling alley, home, Downtown Dallas, the Stockyards…you get the idea! Engagement photos are about just the two of you, so choose a place that you both feel comfortable being yourselves! Engagement sessions are also a great way to get to know each other, you get to see how we work and we get to find out how you photograph best, what your chemistry is like. Most importantly on your wedding day we won't be strangers, and you will be comfortable in front of our cameras. It makes a big difference!

Use an engagement album as a guest book – Gel pens show up beautifully on the black pages.

Save the Date magnets are a great way to share your favorite engagement photos and let your guests know exactly when your wedding will happen. We have different designs to choose from, just let us know!

Have an intimate bridal boudoir portrait made the day you have your bridal hair and make-up trial. These can be ready in time for the honeymoon! Better yet, don't tell your fiancé you will be having these taken and surprise him on the day of your wedding! For his eyes only... ;)
