Dear blog,

Hi, its me. I know I have neglected you dearest blog. I know that I only updated you twice in the month of March. And I am sorry, but you see, we've been busy. I have been shooting pretty much 2-3 times a week in the last several weeks and well... editing... and we've had really great weather and... I'm sorry. You are still so very important to me and I do have lots and lots of pretty pictures to show you.

I will make it up to you with a little face lift really soon ok?

Out of Office & Back!

Hi friends! I have been out of town pretty much the last couple of weeks plus shooting bridals and engagement sessions that I can't wait to share! I'm so sorry if you haven't heard from us as speedy as usual; I'm back and we will be responding to emails and editing this week.

I'm so looking forward to Spring and all the portrait sessions and weddings we have lined up for 2010!

So after every session Rachel asks me "so how did it go?" and when I started to tell her about Beth and Chris all I could say was, "they are so perfect for each other, we could totally be friends with her". Beth just has this contagious laugh that I love! Her and Chris met me at Arlington Hall a couple of weeks ago with their lab, Boone. Boone is awesome. I want Boone to be our family dog... But I digress. They will be getting married in May and I'm looking forward to seeing them a few times before then!

I can't believe it's already February! Brandon & Venessa were married at Cappella Court in Carrollton in December. They are beyond sweet people and it was awesome to see so many of their friends just so ready and happy to see them get married.

Engaged: Adam & Peggy

Oh my goodness, it was freezing for Adam & Peggy's engagement session. We met at Weatherford's Chandor Gardens this week and tried our bests to stay warm! Props to Peggy who was a cute little icicle by the end of the session. They will be getting married this June and I can't wait to see Peggy's dress! She's known what she wanted it to look like since she was 6 years old. :)

Julie & Ray's wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Yes, they had some awesome factors to make it amazing, but really the best part for me was getting to hang with them all day - because what could be better than seeing two friends get married? In the time since we met in October 08, they have become such great friends. Between the awesome flowers & coordination from A Stylish Soiree and their reception at the always amazing Modern Art Museum (have I mentioned that I love it there? Because I love it there. Really, its not only stunning but the staff is one of the best we've worked with) it was one amazing day.

Just to warn you, they gave me about three hours to do photos of just the two of them, so there are a lot of photos from that time on here! Love it!!!

Ok, so for this one Efra and I did a little 'painting with light'. We were in a completely dark space, so instead of using flash, we left the shutter open for about 10 seconds and 'painted' them with our video light. I hand held my camera, seriously!
I like it! Lots!

This is all cake & sugar. Collen's Cakes did amazing in recreating Ray's favorite dish from El Chico!

I was so disappointed we weren't available to shoot Jaime's wedding! We've had the pleasure to work with her family at her sister Julie's wedding (HI JULIE!) and would have loved to have been there but I so happy when she asked me to shoot her bridal & boudoir sessions. This girl is a rockstar.

She told me she wanted a "Ralph Lauren-meets-Country" feel to them.

It was so cold for Dave & Francesca's engagement session! We all had frozen fingers and ears, but we got some great images. They were a little nervous to be in front of the camera but I loved their chemistry. There is something very organic about their chemistry, its almost like they're the boy/girl version of each other. I'm really excited for their May wedding!

I don't know what it is about Rolo and Judy but we have been friends since the moment we met. It was like Judy was a long lost cousin introducing me to her love, Rolo, for the first time. We just had that instant click and everytime I get to see them it is really like no time has passed between visits, you know? I love the way they love on each other, Rolo is crazy about his bride!

We are so amazed and thankful for a great 2009! We are so grateful to each of our clients who have made it our best year yet. Thank you for choosing us to share your wedding day with you. Rachel, Efrain and I have truly loved working with all of you.

I so love shooting Boudoir sessions, though I don't get to share them on the blog very often! These are so intimate and fun, I love having a girl walk away telling me how beautiful they feel after their session. Martha wanted a special gift for her husband's 30th, so she brought her good friend Maritza, lots of great jewelry & outfits and a little wine... We had a great time, she was a great model!

Thank you for letting me share a few of them Martha! So glad he loved his gift! But, really, how could he not?!

I remember the first time I met Katie we sat there and talked about anything and everything for a couple of hours. It felt like seeing an old friend rather than just someone I had just met.

Wedding: Herb & Xochitl

Herb & Xochitl couldn't have asked for better weather on their October wedding day. I was hired by Xochitl's sister and Herb as a wedding surprise for Xochitl. It was so flattering to have been there! Their ceremony was at St. Pius Catholic Church and their reception was held at the new Filter Building on White Rock Lake. We really loved shooting at this venue! It had some amazing views!

Though the weather didn't turn out as we all hoped for Chris & Betsy's wedding, not even the rain could dampen how excited they were to be getting married. It was a beautiful ceremony and reception at Heritage Ranch. They are the sort of couple that everyone loves, their engagement session is still one of my favorites!

We were so moved with Richard & Sarah's love for each other and their families' unconditional support. All night long, we were taken with the way Richard looks at Sarah, who was just on seventh heaven all day. I could seriously go on and on about how perfect this wedding was. The ceremony and reception were held at Hickory Street Annex.

Truly some of the best people we've met. I can't wait to shoot Richard and Sarah again... they make my job so easy.

I've known Erin for a while; we worked together in the corporate world years ago and have stayed in touch. Her and Bryce had little Kyah almost three months ago and from all the photos she shares on her blog, I couldn't wait to meet him! He is adorable and such an easy going baby! I mean, I thought Abby was an angel, but Kyah was so patient and alert. He fell asleep, woke up and then fell asleep again. Didn't fuss at all. I was impressed! Sign me up for more baby sessions if they're all like this!

Annie will be getting married this December and though we are not able to shooting her wedding, we were delighted to have spent the afternoon with her, her gorgeous gown and ballerina slippers. So it has been a little while since we shot this great wedding and I am sorry I'm just now posting it. The wedding season is winding down, so I hope to get the blog updated a lot more often! Julie, Arturo and their families were so easy to work with. I even got to use my Spanish and pretty much sang along with the Mariachi all night. Their ceremony was at St. Ann Catholic Parish in Coppell and the reception was held at Arlington Hall.

I'm pretty sure the first time we met we talked for a good three hours, and we could have gone a lot longer. Judy & Rolo are so easy to hang with, they really feel like old friends you haven't seen in a while and then you meet again and it's just effortless to have a great time with them.

I can't believe they're getting married in a few weeks! Can't wait to meet their families!

I met Rob & Chasidy at the Dallas Arboretum on a very cloudy day - which was great since we pretty much had the place to ourselves! I loved the outfits they brought and they share a really sweet chemistry. Shooting them was a breeze and a lot of fun! I am so grateful for having such great clients.

We love Devin. So very often we become close with our clients during the wedding planning, so when the wedding day is done, the photos released and the wedding album ordered, there are always certain clients that we miss talking to on a regular basis. Devin is one of those.

We loved her fabulous style, her bridesmaids', the guys were hilarious and her & Colton were both smiling from ear to ear the entire day. It was so awesome to have been there! We can't wait for her album to come in just to have a reason to email her again. :)

No secret that I love shooting engagement sessions! Clint and Tracy were so much fun to hang with! We stated our session at the field in Fort Worth with their pup Gus and we then hopped in my car and stopped at some kinda cool locations down the street. We had some sweet light to play with and Tracy had some great outfits picked out!

They're getting married July 2010 and we may have to find an excuse to hang out before that! (right Tracy? *wink*)

I had been looking forward to shooting Stephen & Christine's wedding since the moment we met because I just knew everything would be right out of the pages of a magazine. Every detail was breathtaking, from Christine's gown to the amazing centerpieces. With the help of the fab ladies at A Stylish Soiree (I may have mentioned them before) their wedding was nothing short of perfect! We loved every minute!

Engaged: Herb & Xochitl

Xochitl's sister and Herb actually surprised Xochitl by hiring me to shoot their wedding as a wedding gift to Xochitl - but they didn't tell her! So when Herb & Xochitl came to the studio yesterday and Xochitl was expecting to meet a friend whom she thought would be doing her wedding photos, I got to be the one to let her know that I will be shooting their wedding. I was so absolutely flattered when she started to tear up!

We got some great shots before the rain started pouring. Here are some of my faves!

I had been looking forward to shooting Charlie and Kristin for a looong time. As in almost a year! They will be getting married later this month at Hickory Street Annex so we decided to start the session there and then roam the Deep Ellum streets.

Wedding: Dustin & Temple

Dustin & Temple designed their wedding to match their style perfectly, it was so intimate and comfortable. There were so many personal details at this wedding; it really felt like every single detail had been looked after someone dear to them. Their wedding and reception were held at the historic Chapel of Chesnut Square in McKinney.

Fall Portrait Sessions

Hi Friends! Happy Fall!

Just letting you know that my shooting schedule for the next three months is getting super full with Engagement & Bridal sessions (yeah!). If you're wanting me to shoot you this Fall please contact Rachel at staff{at}wisnerphoto.com so we can get you on our calendar.

Because I'm shooting weddings most Saturdays and I'm working on images pretty much every other day of the week, we will not be booking portrait sessions for Sundays. This is the one day I get to spend with my family and recharge. :) I hope you all will understand and I'm sure we can work together to find a time that will work for all of us!

I'm really looking forward to making lots of great images together!

Emily was so much fun to shoot! We met just last week at our studio for her bridal session and Rach and I felt like we had a model all to ourselves willing to try any location we asked. The dirtier and funkier the location the more Emily liked it!

Wedding: Alex & Sheva

Alex & Sheva's wedding was filed with so many Russian & Persian traditions. We started the day at Sheva's parents' beautiful home where they chose to see each other before the ceremony to make sure we had plenty of time for group formals and of course Romantics. I love it when couples allow lots of time for this; whether before or after the ceremony, those moments of just the two being alone together on their wedding day is truly one of our favorite to document.

Their ceremony and reception were held in Fort Worth's YWCA and it was a great party!

Haute Facade did an amazing job on everyone's make up!

We traveled down to Cleburne for Jeff and Melinda's wedding back in July! I can't believe it is now September and I have several weddings from this summer that I have yet to blog. One of the things I really loved about this wedding was how totally smitten Jeff is with Melinda. I don't how many times throughout the night I caught him just staring at her and whispering in her ear. So sweet!

Engaged: Chris & Betsy

I first met Chris & Betsy at the Dallas Bridal Show and it was one of those things of instant great chemistry. As soon as they told me about their upcoming October wedding and having their ceremony under a huge pecan tree I was hooked! When they came by the studio to talk over the details it really reinforced the great feeling I had about them.

We met a few weeks ago on a very hot day in downtown Grapevine and got some awesome shots... but I mean, just look at them. Can you say ADORABLE? Yep!

Allison was such a dreamy bride to work with; her vision for her wedding photography was so in tune with our work and throughout the planning process she was always ahead of us with all the information we needed to make sure we captured her beautiful wedding day. We loved her colors and her flowers, and Rob's vows had me tearing up from the balcony.

And I don't mean to play favorites but I.LOVE.SHOOTING.AT.THE.MODERN.

It's a combination of the beautiful architecture and the awesome staff. Though they didn't see each other before the wedding, Allison allowed plenty of time for us to get images of just the two of them after the ceremony and then again during the reception. Love it when our couples do this! It is my favorite part of the day.

I first shot Sarah & Richard last spring on a very cold and windy day! We had to shoot their entire session indoors and even though the Hickory Street Annex is a great venue, we decided to meet again and do another shoot 'on the streets' once it got warmer.

We met last week in between thunderstorms and got some awesome shots! I love these two. We make awesome images together every time and I can not wait until their wedding! We basically got in the car and drove some kinda scary parts of Dallas, jumping out when we saw anything cool. That's my type of shoot right there!

Wedding: Mark & Shannon

Mark and Shannon are both so sweet and unexpectedly funny! Shannon has been so great to work with from the beginning and I'm excited to get her album together. The ceremony was at First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth and their reception was at Fort Worth Club. Their wedding day was p-e-r-f-e-c-t in part thanks to their awesome coordinator, Emily Youngblood from Blessed Unions. We were so impressed with her!

I must admit I was little intimated to shoot Eric & Stephanie. You see, Stephanie has looked at my website and blog I don't know how many times and is always so sweet telling me how much she likes my work. So obviously I wanted to do an awesome job for them! We had to postpone the session several times because of all the storms we had a couple of weeks ago, but were finally able to meet and got some images I hope they love!

Family: The Olivas

I don't get to do families very often, especially this time of the year when I'm either shooting a wedding, prepping to shoot a wedding or editing a wedding! But with the Olivas is a little bit different, so I had to make an exception. Not only are they family friends of ours, but they live in Honduras where Alex is a youth pastor and Holly is a schoolteacher. They are in town visiting for the first time in three years and will be leaving this Friday, so when Holly asked me to shoot some of fun photos I gladly obliged. They are staying with a sweet lady that lives close to our home, so I thought our backyard would be a good spot for the shoot.

Holly - I'll catch you on your cute blog! It was so great seeing you and meeting Hannah for the first time. Thank you for the coffee. :)

Wedding: Matt & Megan

I knew it was going to be awesome. From their engagement session, I knew their wedding was going to be just about them and how perfect they are for each other. Their friends and family were so welcoming and were truly excited for Matt & Megan to start their life together. I love their photos, I think my favorites are the ones we did with just them. These were important to Megan and I love it when my couples set aside some time during their day to do these. I also loved the music at their wedding! I mean, I knew the was going to be good music especially after getting to know them at their engagement session, but I was pretty much singing along to everything all night! Good times!

M&M - you guys are pretty much amazing. Good luck in your new adventure! I can't wait to see the pics!

Stephen & Christine are getting married this weekend and we finally got to shoot their engagement session today. Because of the crazy rain we've had, we met at the Meyerson Symphany Center were we had beautiful light and architecture to play with.

I really love making engagement sessions personalized to a couple's personality, and this couple was no exception. Christine and I talked about doing her session somewhere with clean lines and great architecture and the Meyerson was perfect.

Wedding: Braydn & Melissa

I have wanted to blog this wedding for the longest time! But when there are so many favorites, how do I choose which ones to share? Yes, I will admit that they are one of my favorite couples, and everything about Braydn & Melissa's wedding was absolutely amazing. It was a photographer's dream with the help of the awesome ladies at A Stylish Soiree, as they created an evening with so many great details. Their ceremony was at TCU's Robert Carr Chape l with their reception at one of my favorite venues, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. We loved everything from the lounge, to the lighting (will have to find out who did it!), to the Whoopie Pies! made by Braydn's Mom & sister.

We really had a great time and love their photos!

Wedding: Efrain & Vanessa

I can't believe its been a whole three weeks since my sister got married! Seems like I've been on the go since the moment we returned and I'm just now getting to share her wedding photos. It was such a great day. We started it on the beach, just sharing and spending time with our families. When the time came to get ready it was like we all knew exactly where we needed to be. The rest of the day was absolutely perfect. It is not unusual for me to cry at a wedding, (especially if the bride cries but that's a story for another post) but I really went to town with Vanessa. I couldn't even tell them how much I love them without getting all choked up. *sigh*

Wedding: Dean & Jenn

Efra and I went down to Waco to shoot Dean & Jenn's sweet wedding last month. Dean is one of the sweetest grooms we've met! He had his poor best man running back and forth all afternoon delivering gifts to Jenn before the ceremony. He had us all swooning!

Their reception was held at one of Waco's newest venues, The Phoenix Ballroom, which was awesome! Hardwood floors and exposed ceilings beams?! Loved it!
